Anne of Green Gables (The Children’s Classics Collection, Set 1)

When Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert decide to hire an orphaned boy to help out on their farm at Green Gables, they get Anne – a red-haired, freckle-faced and incredibly feisty girl instead. Although Anne sometimes likes to imagine that her hair is brown and that her name is Cordelia, she can’t imagine having to be a boy full time! And what’s worse, now that she has seen Green Gables, she also can’t imagine ever leaving!
