Once a promising young student, Raskolnikov does not know how he ended up poor and miserable. Determined to get his life back on track, he commits a terrible act. But when his desperate mother and sister turn up on his doorstep, and a stern police detective starts sniffing around, Raskolnikov realises his troubles may not be over after all.
